We are living in a time where exercising, vitamins, herbs, clean eating, and nutritional supplements are highly regarded by many people. I believe if you practice a healthy lifestyle, it will help enhance your quality of life.
Many times, people get amped and excited and go from a sedentary lifestyle to exercising 5-7 days per week. Yes it is exciting to get healthy, however you should make sure your body is able to accommodate such a lifestyle change. Please remember to consult with your primary doctor before starting any new exercise program. You need to be on the same page with a physician who is familiar with you and your medical history and medications. It never hurts to have your doctor's stamp of approval prior to adapting an exercise regime in your life. The CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) is an excellent resource and has physical activity guidelines for children thru seniors. You can discuss the guidelines with your physician.
If you decide to add vitamins and /or herbs to your regime, please consult your primary doctor beforehand. A lot of people do not realize that vitamins, herbs and supplements have actions, side effects etc. and may need to be monitored just like regular medications. They may also interact positively or negatively with each other or with your current medications. They may change the effectiveness of your medications. With all foods/medicines/vitamins/herbs/supplements..read all labels! Consult with your pharmacist for any information on the product you wish to begin .If you have access to the world wide web AKA internet,, do your research on the supplements. Again, discuss any new supplements with your doctor.
Well, I hope you are already participating in a healthy lifestyle regimen. For those who have not decided to incorporate healthy living thus far, please exercise caution prior to initiating anything new into your life. Once you have the green light, get your healthy on!
